Our Aims

 

Belton pre-school aims to provide high quality childcare in a safe and happy environment. We encourage the children, through play activities, to learn and develop at their own pace. We offer a wide range of challenging and stimulating experiences through which they can achieve this.

 

Our curriculum leads to nationally approved learning outcomes and prepares children to progress with confidence to the national curriculum.

General Information

 

Opening Hours (during term time)

Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm

​

Opening hours are subject to change, please contact pre-school for further information.

​

Children will need to bring a packed lunch. 

​

We offer a Breakfast Club 8am to 8.30am (including breakfast which must be prebooked) and wraparound After School care 3.30pm to 4pm (charges are applicable)

We are registered for 24 children each session. The ratio of staff to children is 1:4 for two year olds and 1:8 for three years and over.

 

We accept children from the age of two.

We accept government funding of 15 hrs for 2 & 3 years old and 30 hours funding (criteria applicable)

We follow the EYFS Curriculum with a focus on holistic outdoor learning.

​

There are seven areas of learning and development, which are split into prime areas and specific areas.

 

Prime areas:

Personal, Social, Emotional Development

Physical Development

Communication and Language

 

Specific areas: 

Literacy

Mathematics

Understanding the World

Expressive Arts and Design

Stay & Play Sessions

​

We run outdoor Stay & Play sessions throughout the Spring and Summer terms, on a Friday morning from 10am to 11.30am. Cost £3.50 per session or £20 for a prebooked block of six sessions.
